Sandra arrived from Mexico in the eighties, as a migrant teenager her first occupation to prosper was taking care of children and studying in high school where she would learn the language. Like many Hispanics, she did agricultural work while she continued studying, later she worked in a local supermarket where they sold Mexican products and in 1994, she was hired to work as an educational assistant at Enterprise for the Progress in the Community (EPIC), in 1995 she graduated from the profession of cosmetology, I continue studying and certifying myself in different disciplines of personal well-being, health and beauty.
She collaborates in different projects to support the priority community of Toppenish, Washington. Programs to keep people away from drugs and gangs. She promotes two initiatives, the first to develop musical talent and the arts among children and adolescents. The second seeks to impact the health of families in Yakima County with cooking classes, nutritional counseling with a health professional, neurolinguistic programming, and emotional intelligence sessions for a lasting change in habits.
Since the founding of Presencia, Sandra has been interested in health, education and prosperity projects for the Latino community, she wants to improve people's lives every day, as well as in the United States of America, in her home state of Michoacan, Her next project is the foundation of a children's soup kitchen with childcare services for working mothers and workshops where technical knowledge is provided to the community for the start-up of small businesses, productive projects developed by the state's municipalities.
